In recent years, the district has provided basic school supplies for all students. Due to budget constraints, we will not be able to continue this practice this school year. We understand this change may create challenges for some families, and we remain committed to ensuring every student is fully supported. We are partnering with the Ferndale Public Schools Foundation and our Family Resource Center to assist any student in need. If your family needs assistance with school supplies this year please contact tracy.diehl@ferndalesd.org.

Ferndale School District is using a volunteer and visitor management system called Safe Visitor Solutions.
Volunteer Application
The volunteer application consists of a basic information form and a background questionnaire. Please read the information thoroughly. To volunteer in our district, complete the online volunteer application. For the safety of our students, volunteer applicants must undergo a Washington State Patrol background check before they can begin their service.
Once the application is complete, you will receive an email confirming completion. This email will contain your electronic SafeVisitor ID Badge. The ID badge will be used to scan in and out of the buildings in our district. Please arrive a few minutes early for your first visit so we can take your photo at the front desk. We will then store your photo and email you a new electronic ID with a photo which can be stored on your phone as an image or in the new Safe Visitor mobile app which can be downloaded to your phone. You will need to present a government issued photo ID for the first visit.
Your FSD volunteer status is good for 1 year from the date of clearance. You will be automatically notified via email when your application is nearing expiration.
*If you do not have valid photo identification, or if you have limited access to email and the Internet, please let us know. For more information, email viry.ferreira@ferndalesd.org or call 360-383-9200.
