Resolution - Public Access to School District Records

BOARD RESOLUTION No. 18-2024

WHEREAS, the Ferndale School Board (“Board”) is committed to providing the public full access to records concerning the administration and operations of the District in compliance with Chapter 42.56, RCW, otherwise known as the Washington Public Records Act; and

WHEREAS the Board recognizes that the district continuously generates a tremendous volume and diversity of records; and

WHEREAS attempting to maintain a current index of all the district’s records would be impracticable, unduly

burdensome and ultimately interfere with the operational work of the district;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ferndale School district will not maintain a current index of its records and that a copy of this resolution will be made available upon request.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that execution of this Resolution is conclusive evidence of the Board’s approval of this action and of the authority granted herein. The Board warrants that it has, and at the time of this action had, full power and lawful authority to adopt this instrument.
