Meal Distribution Information

On August 31, 2020, the USDA extended several flexibilities to allow school districts to continue serving free meals to children through as late as June 30, 2021. This will help ensure children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who is eligible?

Meals are for all children, 0-18 years.

I have students at different schools, can I pick up all of their meals at one location?

Yes. Families pick up meals for all of their students at one location.

Do I need to pick up meals at my student’s regular school location?

No. Families can pick up their meals at any of our locations.

When and where can I pick up meals for my students?

A 10-meal box (5 complete breakfasts/5 complete lunches) will be distributed as follows, pickup locations are subject to change based on demand.

Wednesday mornings from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the following locations:

What if I can’t make it to a pickup site on Wednesdays?

Call our food service hotline 360-383-9337, to arrange an alternative pickup time and location.

Do students need to be present with a parent to receive food?

Parents or guardians may pick up meals for their students. Students do not need to be present.

What will be included in each 10-meal box?

A typical week’s meal box will include:

  • 5 breakfast entrees
  • 5 lunch entrees
  • Half gallon of milk
  • 10 servings of fruit or fruit juice
  • 5 servings of vegetables

Information will be included with every meal letting families know what foods are included (for allergy concerns). It will also state that food should be consumed or refrigerated within 2 hours.

What if my child has allergies?

We will accommodate those students with severe food allergies. If special accommodations are needed, please call our food service meals hotline, 360-383-9337. When you pick up your student’s meals at the distribution site, make sure you let the food service worker know you arranged an alternative meal for a student.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

We strongly encourage all parents/guardians to submit a Meal Application for the 2020/2021 school year, if you have not already.

These applications provide critical funding for many important services beyond the meal program.
