Pandemic Meal Service

On August 31, 2020, the USDA extended several flexibilities to allow school districts to continue serving free meals to children through June 30, 2021.  This helps ensure children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the pandemic.

In-person Students, beginning April 29, 2021

For students attending one of Ferndale School District’s schools, breakfast and lunch will be free for the remainder of the school year.  In-person students are no longer eligible for meal box pick-up.

Remote or Medically Quarantined Students
(or other children ages 0-18, not attending in-person school)

FSD will continue to offer 10-meal boxes (5 complete breakfasts/5 complete lunches) on a weekly basis.  Starting Wednesday, April 28, pickup will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM noon, on Wednesdays for the remainder of the school year at Ferndale High School only.  If this pickup time does not work for you, please call our food service hotline 360-383-9337 or email FoodServices@ferndalesd.org.

To order meal boxes for your remote learners, please fill out the online order form at the link below.

We strongly encourage all parents/guardians to submit a Meal Application for the 2020/2021 school year, if you have not already.

These applications provide critical funding for many important services beyond the meal program.
