Updated January 22, 2021

With the recent Health Plan and direction from the WIAA, we are anticipating the ability to start High School Athletics and Activities as early as February 1st. The start date will be determined when we are able to move forward into "Phase 2" of the new State Health Plan. The first season of competition will be a "Fall" Season which includes Football, Volleyball, Girls Swimming, Girls Soccer, Cross Country and Cheerleading. Boys Tennis will be moved to Season 3 at the end of the year. The next season is scheduled to be the traditional "Spring" Season, and then finish with a "Winter" Season to finish the school year.

The season will be a reduced season of competition lasting 6 or 7 weeks and we will look to play only schools in the Northwest Conference. At this point, there will be no post season competition beyond the regular schedule. All schedules need to be flexible and subject to start date and the ability to change if necessary.

Students and Families will need to log in to Skyward and get cleared for participation before practice begins. Some of you have already done this, but it will be good to double check at the same time. Sport Physicals are valid for two years at this point, so if you physical has expired or near expiration, you will need to update that as soon as possible. You will also need to pay for your ASB card which is 40.00, but there will be no "Pay to Play" fee for the upcoming school year.

Listed below are links to more information and contact information for the Fall Sports Head Coaches. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, email Cathy Howard at Cathy.Howard@ferndalesd.org or call at 360-383-9281.
