Ferndale School District Asks Community to Bring Ideas for Bond Project

Bond Project Pre-Design Town Hall Meeting Graphic - Tuesday, June 11 Event

Ferndale voters overwhelmingly supported a Ferndale School Bond in February with 62.04% of voters saying “yes.” That Bond included $112 Million for a new Ferndale High School, renovation of the Performing Arts Center, Critical Maintenance Projects and Safety and Security projects throughout the District.

Ferndale School District Superintendent Dr. Linda Quinn invites the community to attend a Town Hall on June 11th, “We are hard at work in the pre-design phase for the Ferndale High School project but we want to hear from our community as we move forward. Join us to see the timeline, meet partners from Dykeman Architects and apply for the Design Advisory Committee. Bring your input and ideas!”

The Design Advisory Committee will be comprised of a broad-based group of up to 25 members representing various District stakeholders. The Committee will be charged with (1) researching best practices for high school facilities; (2) soliciting community input; (3) sharing their own expertise; and (4) reviewing and providing feedback on design ideas.
