Early Election Results Show Super-Majority Approval in Ferndale

Heart with Thank You text

Early results released by the Whatcom County Auditor show that voters have approved the Ferndale School Bond at 61.31% - enough for the super-majority requirement.

“My heart is full,” said Ferndale School District Superintendent Linda Quinn. “On behalf of the Ferndale School Board, staff, students and community partners, I extend gratitude to this community. These results belong to them. I have watched a community rally around our schools by attending town halls, waving signs, writing letters, mailing ballots, and loudly proclaiming support for Ferndale Schools. I have never experienced such a concerted positive effort.”

The Whatcom County Auditor will continue tabulating ballots and will update results periodically.

The District will begin working with the community immediately to plan next steps.
