Learning Goal: Students will be able to read the story with help or on their own, will understand important key words in the story, will be able to make predictions throughout the story and will be able to identify the main idea of the story. Activity Instructions: Read your leveled book, Girl Detectives and refer to the lesson, to make predictions and identify the main idea of the story. Did you use the pictures to help with your predictions? Were you able to make predictions while reading, tell why you made those predictions and confirm if those predictions were correct or adjust your thinking? Were you able to tell a family member the answers to the think and respond questions including what the main idea of the story is? Read 10-15 minutes and record your reading on your reading log. |
