Open Hands
Open Hands is a program, run by Calvary Creekside Church in Everson that provides students with weekend food bags. It was developed to ensure children have access to non-perishable and easy to prepare foods at all times when other resources are not available such as on weekends and school holidays.
In 2018-19, Open Hands served approximately 200-225 Ferndale students at Cascadia, Central and Custer.
This year, the program will expand to students at all Ferndale elementary schools and preschoolers at the Early Learning Center! While ANY student at a designated school may receive the food bags, a parent must give written permission to participate.

- Purchases can be dropped off at any elementary school (on Fridays, Open Hands delivers food bags to the schools, so can pick up donations at that time)
