We, the Ferndale School District, prepare each student to thrive in an ever-changing world by providing a rigorous education that fosters academic growth, nurtures confidence, and encourages critical thinking. Our commitment to high expectations ensures every learner achieves their full potential. We cultivate resilience and innovation in each student and foster a sense of belonging in a safe and inclusive environment that emphasizes caring and compassion, preparing students for their future.

Welcome to Ferndale Schools!

Ferndale Schools is comprised of one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools serving approximately 4,700 students in grades preschool through twelve.

In partnership with parents and our community, the district will educate each student to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to lead a self-reliant, socially responsible life. The District is committed to having community members, staff and students work together to accomplish this mission.

Ferndale School District is located in Northwest Washington. The hub of the district is the town of Ferndale, located 10 miles north of Bellingham, 100 miles north of Seattle and 40 miles south of Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
