Health Education Parent Information Review:
Ferndale School District has scheduled its annual Health Education Materials Review for parents of students in 4th – 12th grades. This review will cover both Sexual Health Education and HIV/AIDS Education on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Ferndale School District Office, located at 6041 Vista Drive in Ferndale.
In accordance with Washington State law (RCW 28A.230.070), HIV/AIDS education is required to be taught in public schools from grades 5 through 12. During the session, parents will have the opportunity to review both the 4th - 12th grade Sexual Health Education materials and the 5th - 12th grade HIV/AIDS Curriculum. Teaching staff will be available to answer questions regarding both topics.
