A Message from the Ferndale School District Counseling Staff:
Need a sanity boost during this time of distance learning? We are here to help!
Thank you for all that you are doing to support your students during this uncertain time in our community and world. We know this is hard and hope to team up with you in making this transition successful, while maintaining meaningful connections between you and your children.
Our Ferndale school counselors are offering three different resources to help you navigate this “new normal” together!
How do I access these resources?
Please fill out the survey here: https://bit.ly/ParentSupportSurvey
The survey is also located on the Ferndale School District website under “Learning Resources” or contact your school counselor!
1-on-1 Consult Calls
This can be a phone call or zoom chat (whatever you are most comfortable with) with a school counselor to help guide and coach you in transitioning to distance learning with your child(ren). We can set up a one-time call or weekly sessions to help support you each step of the way.
Parent Support Groups
A school counselor would facilitate a weekly online Zoom meeting between parents to share ideas, resources and get help with common "distance learning" struggles like academic work organization, social and emotional support, setting boundaries with your children, etc.
