Ferndale School District congratulates Jillea Fox, a senior at Ferndale High School, for being recognized as the Kiwanis Student of the Month for October.

Jillea maintains a 4.0 GPA while participating in a wide range of activities, including basketball, volleyball, track and field, ASB, Leadership, Choir, and Honors Choir. She also serves as a mentor, is involved with the Center for Leadership, and works as a janitor and groundskeeper for her church.

As a senior, Jillea is excited for the opportunity to help lead the activities she has enjoyed throughout high school. She is proud of being named a Top Ten basketball player, her involvement with FCF, her mentorship experiences, and her personal growth. Kiwanis members were impressed with her public speaking skills when she addressed club members, who found her passionate and enthusiastic.

Looking ahead, Jillea plans to pursue a degree in Public Health with a minor in Biostatistics, with the goal of helping people and making a positive impact. She credits her cousin Adriana for having a significant influence on her life, especially during the pandemic, and shared that her faith in God helped her during challenging times.
