Kiwanis Student of the Month November 2025: Anne Dyck

Ferndale School District congratulates Anne Dyck, a senior at Ferndale High School, for being recognized as the Kiwanis Student of the Month for November. Although Anne describes herself as shy, Kiwanis members describe her as confident and fun. She is making the most of her high school years through being involved with many activities and student communities.

Anne has participated in four years of band, both marching and concert, along with three years in National Honor Society and three years in Leadership. Her activities also include four years in FFA, two years in Running Start, one year in Honor Band, and an impressive five years as part of the production stage crew for theater, all while maintaining a high GPA.

In addition to her academic and extracurricular achievements, Anne is committed to serving her community. She volunteers with childcare at her church, assists with Vacation Bible School, and provides childcare for Skyline PTO events. She also enjoys working alongside her dad on set-building for theater productions.

Anne plans to major in English and minor in art, with the goal of becoming an Imagineer at Disney. After learning about her talents and determination, Ferndale Kiwanis members believe that it’s easy to imagine her thriving in that role.

When asked about her greatest influences, Anne expressed gratitude for the many people who have supported her journey, including her parents. She gave special thanks to Mr. Menefee and Mrs. Menefee, her high school and middle school teachers, for believing in her and lifting her up during challenging times. She also credited Marty Morvac for helping her grow in confidence and feel a true sense of belonging at Ferndale High School.

Congratulations, Anne!
