November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of America’s first peoples. It is also a time to educate the public about tribes, raise awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.
