We are getting input that there is a concern about students being able to receive required immunizations (i.e. immunizations have lapsed) before the October 31^st deadline (before being excluded on November 1^st), due to many health care providers being 6-8 weeks out for immunization administration in the office.  We have reached out to our district’s nurses and the pharmacies in the area regarding this concern, and this is the information we have received:

·         Seamar : 360-354-0766 (Everson) and 360-671-3225 (Bellingham)

o   Both locations will see their ACTIVE/ESTABLISHED patients for immunization only appointment by appointment or walk in.  You are considered an established patient if you have been seen within the last 3 years.  They can do immunizations between 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.  They also have a late clinic day that they will do immunizations appointment/walk ins – Mondays at Bellingham until 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday at Everson until 8:30 p.m.  If someone is not considered an established patient either because it has been over the 3 years or they are new to the area, they would need to establish with a provider by appointment only and they are about 2 months booked out.

·         Unity Care NW: 360-676-6177 (Bellingham and Ferndale same contact number)

o   Does not accept walk ins.

o   If someone is an established patient, they can call in and ask for a nurse appointment and the nurse will review the request and will call them back to schedule. We’ve been told that these appointment are usually within a day or so.  UCNW considers established patients to have been seen within the last 2 years. If they have not been seen in over 2 years, they would need an appointment with a provider prior to vaccines.  If they have not been seen in over 3 years, they would be considered a new patient and those appointment are booked until December 2021.  This information is for Bellingham and Ferndale Locations.
