FSD Communications Team Takes Home 4 WSPRA Awards
Ferndale School District’s Communications Team took home four awards from the Washington Schools Public Relations Association (WSPRA) annual communications awards ceremony on Oct. 28 in Spokane.
Three of the awards were in the Writing-Storytelling category, for articles from the We Are Ferndale monthly newsletter:
- Award of Excellence (Best in Show)- Polly Rocks Create Fun, Belonging Atmosphere at Custer
- Award of Merit- Walk In Their Shoes: Bus Driver Richard Boersma
- Honorable Mention- New Class Materials Help Kindergarten Learn Through Play
The team also earned an Award of Merit in the Video-Storytelling Category for the Courage To Share video series, in which Ferndale students, staff, and community members spoke about their mental health journeys.
