FHS Principal Ravinder Dhillon wins statewide award

Earlier this month, Ferndale High School Principal Ravinder Dhillon received the Gallagher Howard M. Cobel Scholarship for Under-Represented Educational Leaders from the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA). This award assists talented educators from under-represented groups by providing them with funds for graduate studies, so they can eventually pursue central-office school administrative positions.

“The 2025 WASA state award recipients reflect the very best of our profession,” said Joel Aune, WASA Executive Director. “Now more than ever, it is vital that we celebrate and uplift the extraordinary efforts of these leaders, whose impact on students, families, and communities is both profound and enduring.”

Dhillon began working at Ferndale High School in 2019 as an assistant principal and became FHS’ principal in 2021.
