The Ferndale School District is proud to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan, a comprehensive roadmap that will guide all district decisions for the next six years. This plan is the culmination of a yearlong collaborative process that involved over 1,800 participants from throughout our community, including approximately 1,100 students. 

The strategic planning process was designed to be inclusive and community-driven. With input from students, parents, staff, and community members, the district gathered diverse perspectives to ensure that the plan reflects the needs and aspirations of the entire Ferndale community. The school board, with the valuable contributions of these stakeholders, wrote the mission statement that will anchor the district’s work for years to come. 

 Key components of the Strategic Plan include: 

• District Foundations: Outlining the fundamental principles that will guide the district's operations and educational approach. 

• Core Values: A set of values that will drive decision-making and ensure that the district remains focused on what matters most—our students' success. 

• Goals: Clear and actionable objectives that the district will strive to achieve over the next six years. 

We are excited to share this Strategic Plan with our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Kristi Dominguez. “This plan is more than just a document; it is a commitment to our students, staff, and community members. It represents our shared vision for the future of education in Ferndale, and we are eager to begin this next chapter together.” 

The Strategic Plan will serve as a guide for decision-making, resource allocation, steering us towards a shared vision, focused on enhancing student outcomes and fostering excellence in education for the next six years that align with our mission and values.
