As we begin the new year we are looking ahead to the February 8 election. Ferndale School District is running an Educational Programs and Operations levy renewal that will continue funding to support our students. The state does not fully fund K-12 education, which is why districts like ours rely on local levies.  

Proposition 1 continues funding for:  
 

• Academic programs: Special Education, advanced learning 
• Technology: computers and devices for students and staff 
• Student services and opportunities: STEM club, athletics, drama, Math Olympiad 
• Staff: psychologists, nurses, paraeducators, counselors
