We are proud to announce that Central Elementary and Beach Elementary Schools have been recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for the 2024–2025 school year!

The program highlights schools that demonstrate exceptional progress in key areas of student success and only 16% of schools in Washington were recognized this year.

Central Elementary has been recognized for the Closing Gaps Award. Schools recognized for closing gaps have made strong progress after being identified for additional support. These schools improved outcomes for student groups, reduced gaps in performance, and showed meaningful gains across key measures.

Beach Elementary has been recognized for the Growth Award, Schools recognized for growth have at least one student group who made some of the largest gains in the state across multiple measures between the 2023–24 to 2024–25 school years. These measures include English language arts or math scores, attendance, graduation rates and more —while also helping to narrow gaps between student groups.

Last year Ferndale High School, Vista Middle School and Eagleridge Elementary School were recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program as well.

Congratulations Beach & Central Elementary School!
