Back-to-School information flyer
FERNDALE, WA – Ferndale School District is inviting all families to attend its annual Back-to-School Event on Saturday, August 23, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in The Commons at Ferndale High School. 
This family-friendly event is designed to help students and families prepare for the upcoming school year while connecting with school staff and local community resources. The event will feature: 
  • Free school supplies and backpacks for students 
  • Giveaways and swag from community partners 
  • Information booths from various community agencies (Ferndale Food Bank, Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, Ferndale Community Services, and many others) 
  • Staff available to answer questions, including representatives from school buildings, transportation, and Qmlativ (the district’s new student information system) 
  • Opportunities for families to share support needs for the school year (such as clothing, holiday assistance, etc.) 
  • Spanish interpreters on-site to support multilingual families 
“We want every family to feel prepared and welcomed as we start the school year,” said Superintendent Dr. Kristi Dominguez. “This event is just one way we’re working to ensure all students have what they need to succeed, and all families feel connected to their schools.” 
Ferndale School District encourages all families to attend and take advantage of the support and resources available. No registration is required.
