The Twentieth Annual MLK Human Rights Saturday Conference takes place on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Syre Student Center at Whatcom Community College, 237 W. Kellogg Road in Bellingham from 9am to 4pm
The theme of the conference is “50 years of Freedom or 50 years of Fear? Chaos or Community? Where do we go from here?”
Admission is free and registration begins at 9:00 am
Keynote presentation will be A Collective Contribution. a local, dynamic, diversified group of non-white and mixed race identified womxn.
There will be skill-building workshops for school aged children (accompanied by an adult), youth, and adults, facilitated by community educators and activists. Food vendors will be on site with lunch options for purchase.
Workshops, resources and clockhours are available for teachers and mental health therapists.
